De jaarlijkse World Science Fiction Convention zou dit jaar in Nieuw Zeeland te bezoeken zijn, met als Toastmaster de welbekende George R.R. Martin. Helaas zijn de omstandigheden even anders en zal de conventie digitaal gehouden worden. En tijdens dit evenement worden volgens de traditie ook de winnaars voor de Hugo Awards bekend gemaakt.
